Boys, Boys...everywhere!

Brant loved Dawson, Dieken, Declan, and Drake because they were so good at talking to him, playing with him, and wanting to hold him. They would get right in his face and talk so sweet. Brant would smile and get sooooo excited. It was adorable. He is going to miss his cousins.
Day 122: 5/2

First Concert Ever for Mr. B and the best, if I do say so myself. Brant is a big fan of Shane & Shane because that's all Mommy would let Daddy play at the hospital. So he has heard their music a lot! I was so happy because they played the song I walked down the aisle to Andrew at our wedding. "This is the Day" is an amazing song. Andrew wasn't there so I called him and left it on speaker.
Day 121: 5/1

Brant's first visit to Herscher, IL. I loved watching my oldest brother's boys with B. They are soooo good with babies. Aren't they handsome??? Brant has good genes. :) However, I can't believe he is "nakie" in this picture. His cousins look adorable as always, but I guess we snapped this when I was getting B ready for church. Oh well. At least he's not 16 in this picture. ha ha
Day 120: 4/30

(Picture Coming Soon!)
Bethany Girls Get-together! Thank-you Shaya for hosting and having yummy fondue for us all to enjoy! I was the last one of the foursome to have a baby! Poor Adalyn is the only girl out of 5 (soon to be 6) boys. Natalie's Mom, mentioned that when there is a peak in the number of boys born that is supposed to mean that a time of war will be near. Who knows? Maybe. I never doubt God and his plan. I just shared with the girls that I just pray I do my best job at preparing Brant for what God has in-store. Who knows what the future holds but I know whatever it is prayer is the best thing I can do for raising my boy to be a Godly man who fights for what he believes. Please God I pray for your will and protection in Brant's life. Amen.

I was so curious about that "old wives tale" I spent some time browsing for facts. I couldn't find anything about more boys than normal being born in advance of wars, but there is something called the "returning soldier effect," which was really interesting. Here is a link to one article http://www.psychologytoday.com/em/98 but I found several others about men with more brothers than sisters having more male sons than daughters. Anyway, I am a strict pacifist, so I certainly want to avoid my son (or anyone's son) serving in any wars! Probably more than you wanted to know, but I just thought I would share. Take care!
