Swimming in the Lake

Brant got to swim in a lake for the first time last week. He had been on a boat before but just wasn't big enough last summer to get in. We took the middle school student leaders to Heber Springs, Arkansas. It is a gorgeous place. We boated, tubed, went to a water park, laughed, squeezed in a 2 bedroom house (all 19 of us), studied the book of James and bonded together. We all had a great time. Brant loves the kids. Good thing because we have about 2 more trips this summer with them. He is a wonderful middle school minister's kid. He rolls with the punches, soaks up the attention, and loves all the adventures.

17 months

My boy is 17 months.
I wish I could make time stand still.
He is growing up so fast.

Drinking "JUICE" He calls everything juice because it's his favorite. Poor boy, his mama just gave him water.

Telling me how old he is!! ONE!

Loves climbing our stairs, when the baby gate is open.

My friend borrowed our swing for their new baby and when she returned it, this is what Brant wanted to do.
He just laid in there for a long time. It was like he was thinking "I remember this." That's because he spent a LOT of time in it. He looks so big. His feet are hanging out of it.

Double Date

This past Saturday night we had a long overdue double date with some wonderful friends. Andrew and I are so thankful for them. We went to Buckley's Fine Filet Grill for dinner. It was so yummy. We will definitely be going back. I loved the atmosphere because it was dark, quiet, and quaint. Not the place I will be taking Brant anytime soon. It was perfect for our date night.
We ended the night with swinging by our favorite cupcake place. Muddy's. Andrew got Frankly Scarlet and I got Brant and I Plain Jane for breakfast in the morning.
Brant learned how to say "cucake" really well.   :)
Little white boxes that say Muddy's on them make this family very happy.
So do date nights with the Easons.
.....and Family Night Outings with our little munchkins to Moe's.

Fun in the Sun

Raymond Get-together in Branson

May 24-27 we traveled the horrible winding roads from Memphis to Branson. Seriously. Absolutely the worst roads I have ever been on. Andrew declared that we will never drive from Memphis to Branson ever again. ever. I did not disagree.
We rode with Greg and Ellen because they came to Memphis to see Nickpop first. All of Ron's side of the family met up in Branson to celebrate Bill and Peggy's 55th wedding anniversary. It was great seeing everyone together. The family figured up it had been over 10 years since the whole family had all been together. They were LONG overdue. Because at all the holidays, weddings, vacations, graduations, etc.  atleast one family member wasn't present. So it was a good time.
Brant met a lot of family that he had never seen before.
